My name’s Jake Marley and I’m a writer in Springfield, Oregon (formerly of Orange County, California). I’m the one with the beard. The other one in the picture is Space Cat, my familiar.

I’m the 1st place winner, 3rd Quarter, of the 2016 Writers of the Future award, and that story, “Acquisition”, has published in the 33rd volume of that anthology. I took home the Grand Prize–the Golden Pen Award! Get yourself a copy of L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 33!

I’ve been published in RESIST AND REFUSE from Dim Shores Press and in Unnerving Magazine: Issue #5.

The artwork on my site’s banner is from a strip by Charles Addams.  I don’t own it, but it makes me happy to look at every damn time I see it.  It’s a great joke.
